Destiny: Rise of Iron will pay homage to the game’s raiding roots in a way. As many know, the new expansion will be Fallen-centric and seems to take place in more outdoor areas.
However, as revealed by The Guardian, the actual raid will start with a battle outside in a public area. This is pretty much reminiscent of Vault of Glass which began in a public area that anyone could access (though lower level players would be wrecked accordingly). It also revealed that matchmaking won’t be implemented in Rise of Iron.
Community manager David “DeeJ” Dague also confirmed in a stream (as per Reddit) that along with a new Strike, there would be two Strikes updated for the expansion. One of those seems to be The Devil’s Lair with Sepiks Prime while the other is currently a mystery.
Rise of Iron is out on September 20th for PS4 and Xbox One (not for previous gen consoles). Thoughts on the raid and updated Strikes? Let us know in the comments.
