Destiny’s Final Trials of Osiris Now Live, Map Rotation Active

19 maps in total are available to compete in.

Bungie’s Destiny has already seen Iron Banner, its weekly PvP event come to a close, and now Trials of Osiris will be hosting its final weekend…as of right now actually. In a twist though, there will be map rotation and 19 maps have been confirmed for the map pool. Usually, Trials of Osiris focuses on one map throughout the weekend with only the occasional map rotation. This is the biggest map pool yet though.

As though learning from the 3v3 focused gameplay of Trials of Osiris, Destiny 2’s competitive multiplayer will be 4v4 and objective-focused. We’ve already seen Countdown, where players take turns attacking and defending objectives, and Survival, which is like Team Deathmatch but with limited respawns.

Ability usage, Primary weapon heavy gunplay and reduced Super gain all seem tailored specifically for the hardcore PvP community…which has led to many PvE players criticizing the recent beta.

We’ll see how the purported changes from Bungie pan out when the Destiny 2 beta goes live for PC on August 29th. The PS4 and Xbox One versions arrive on September 6th. Until then, enjoy the original Destiny’s final Trials of Osiris and head here for more information on bounties.
