Pretty much every game these days has “rpg elements” … what made Deus Ex/system shock/VTMB great was that they were actual RPG’s played in an FPS style…. the games mentioned above, IMO, are FPS games with watered down RPG elements… As much as I enjoy these new games, I would love a fps/rpg not designed for ADD kids…

I can’t wait for Deus Ex later this year, it has me truly excited and so far it looks like a game that next gen was made for. Although it had its flaws, Human Revolution was the best and most immersive game I’d ever played with its rich narrative, reading countless emails looking for those original Deus Ex easter eggs, it’s brilliant stealth system, the beautiful music and the stunning cyberpunk art style of the game and of course the uncomfortable feeling throughout the game that the issues you come across hit home harder than you’d think. These games are a rare gem and from what I’ve seen 2016 is going to be a killer year for fans of all genres.
