Devil May Cry 5 Domain Moves to Capcom Servers

Could the long-awaited sequel finally be announced?

Following the registration of official domains for Devil May Cry 5 and Resident Evil 2 Remake, Capcom has shifted the former’s domain to its own servers. This is more or less an indication that an announcement is coming, that too at or during E3 2018.

As Mystic on Twitter discovered, heading to the site right now will trigger a “404 Not Found” error page. However, the site has its own IP and is hosted on an AWS server. IPv4 and IPv6 addresses are also present and it’s likely that Capcom is doing work behind the scenes to get things ready.

Take this with a grain of salt as usual but rumours have been flaring up around Devil May Cry 5 for some time now. Originally rumoured to be unveiled at The Game Awards 2017, the reveal was apparently delayed.

At this point, it seems that Hideaki Itsuno – who directed Devil May Cry 3, Devil May Cry 4 and Dragon’s Dogma – will be returning to direct the sequel. An official announcement is still pending though so stay tuned for more details and keep those fingers crossed.
