Diablo 3: Blizzard Banning Users For Hacks

Beware, hackers.

If you are planning to be naughty in Diablo 3, beware. Blizzard is on a banning spree and you could be one of the victims if you have done anything malicious. One malicious example is players using a hack that allows them to zoom out form their normal view and kill enemies. Blizzard has been pretty clear that it won’t tolerate any use of third party hacks with Diablo 3.

The official blog makes it clear that this is what is not allowed while playing the game:

  • Obtain information about Diablo III that’s not normally available to the player
  • Transmit or modify the Diablo III game files
  • Provide access to features or abilities beyond what is allowed by the game’s design
  • Change how Diablo III interacts with Battle.net

The developer also believes that usage of such hacks can cause technical issues within the game. “In addition to undermining the spirit of fair play, this type of software can cause nasty technical problems, game-related bugs, and stability and performance issues with Battle.net. All of which can put a demon-sized damper on your gaming experience,” the blog states.
