Diablo Immortal may have been on the receiving end of widespread backlash when it was first unveiled, but tempers have certainly cooled since then. Players have had the chance to go hands-on with the mobile action RPG in past months, with its second closed alpha test also having gone live quite recently, and reception for it has been largely (and surprisingly) positive.
Of course, an exact release date for Diablo Immortal has been unknown for a while. And while a specific release date still hasn’t been nailed down, Activision did confirm in their recent quarterly earnings report that the game is “on track” for its full global launch later this year. Here’s hoping that answer gets narrowed down in the not-too-distant future.
Whenever it launches, Diablo Immortal will be available on both iOS and Android. Given that it’s a mobile game, it’s obviously going to have plenty of in-game monetization. You can get more details on that through here.
