Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Not Currently Planned For Nintendo Switch

The RPG won't be portable anytime soon.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will take you across the saga of Goku from the Saiyan Saga all the way up to the Buu Saga, which concluded the original manga and the Z saga that rocketed the franchise to a beloved international level. You will play through classic battles, gather dragon balls and all kinds of stuff fans will love. But one place you apparently won’t be doing any of that will be on Nintendo’s new hybrid system.

The game has been announced for some time and the Switch version has never been attached to it. AltChar reached out to publisher Bandai Namco to explicitly ask if a Switch version was planned at all, and they bluntly said as of now the game is only planned for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.

It’s a bit of a bummer for Nintendo fans, but considering the last two Dragon Ball games, Xenoverse 2 and FighterZ, both ended up with later ports to the Switch after releasing for those platforms first not all hope is lost. So, you can’t rule out Kakarot making its way to the system, but at the very least, Switch owners will have to wait a few months.
