The expansion to Dungeons 2, called A Game of Winter, is now out. And if you are getting Game of Thrones-ish vibes from that, well, it’s meant to be deliberate, so much so that the expansion sees the player facing off hordes of the Undead, Game of Thrones style.
Dungeons 2: A Game o Winter sees Young Barthas Snow (I’m not making this up, I swear) of the Northwatch sets forth to search for his lost uncle Banjo beyond the great wall, and in the process, engaging an ancient evil far beyond anything he may have imagined. You’re not going to get any points for guessing where this plotline comes from.
The expansion brings with it a multitude of features for the game>
- New faction: The brainless army brings a new, undead menace to the Dungeons 2 universe.
- New tasks: A completely new and fully-scored and voice acted campaign with 8 extensive missions awaits you.
- New subjects: Command 13 new units, including zombies and vampires.
- New rooms: Build 8 new rooms, like the cemetery and the laboratory.
- Multiplayer support: The undead can also be relied upon to spread evil and wreak havoc in battle against your multiplayer adversaries!
- New maps: Two new sandmox mode maps.
I mean, hey, outside of Telltale’s stuff, we still don’t have a good Game of Thrones video game, so have at it, I say, guys. Have at it.
