Dungeons of Aether Delayed to February 28th, 2023

The additional development time will ensure it's a "fantastic addition to the Aether franchise," with more news to come before launch.

Dungeons of Aether, a turn-based dungeon crawler spin-off from Rivals of Aether, is the latest title to suffer a delay. It was slated to release on October 25th and will now launch on February 28th, 2023. A new trailer has been released to showcase combat and some story cutscenes. Check it out below.

The development team said the extra time will “ensure that Dungeons of Aether is a fantastic addition to the Aether franchise that expands on the world of Rivals of Aether.” More news will be shared on the title as it approaches launch.

Designed by Nick “ampersandbear” Blackwood, Dungeons of Aether challenges players to delve deep into various dungeons. A dice draft system is utilized, which requires the player to adapt their strategy each turn and come out on top. It introduces four new heroes – Fleet, Hamir, Slade and Artemis – each with unique skills and abilities. Along with the rogue-lite Story Mode, players can also indulge in randomly generated Challenge Dungeons with leaderboards.

Dungeons of Aether is currently in development for PC via Steam. Stay tuned for more updates in the coming months.
