Xbox One owners recently got their hands on Elite: Dangerous, Frontier Developments’ open-ended space sim that lets you explore the universe at your whim. However, PC users will be receiving Elite Dangerous: Horizons, a significant expansion to the base game which promises lots of new features. One of those is the ability land on planets and explore them. Check out the teaser video for the same below.
Keep in mind that this isn’t the finished product – according to Frontier’s David Braben, the footage was captured from “a debug build on one of our dev machines, using the debug camera on an SRV and just zooming out ever faster”.
The Horizons updates will be bringing lots of other tweaks and fixes. It will also allow you to customize your avatar, place multiple crews on the same ships and much more. Stay tuned for more information on Elite Dangerous: Horizons, including its upcoming release date.
