Sony’s lineup of upcoming PlayStation exclusives is looking a little sparse right now, with the likes of God of War Ragnarok, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and Marvel’s Wolverine being the only major games in that group right now that have been officially announced. Of course, there are plenty of other games in that category that are in the works but haven’t yet been announced- and we may have some interesting details on one of them.
As spotted by a user on ResetEra, it seems England-based studio Ballistic Moon is working with Sony on PlayStation exclusive. On its LinkedIn page, the developer says that it is working with a “world-leading publisher”. While the company’s name isn’t mentioned, a motion capture actor working on the project has mentioned Sony as the publisher in question.
Interestingly, the game seems to have the working title “Project Bates”, though any and all other details on the title are scant for now.
Ballistic Moon, for those unaware, was established in 2019, and comprises of various industry veterans who’ve previously worked on the likes of Horizon Zero Dawn, Until Dawn, Heavy Rain, Sleeping Dogs, and more.
As for what this game is, it seems like it’s still in the early stages of production right now, so we might not hear anything concrete about it for some time yet. Stay tuned in the meantime for more updates.
