Every Texture In The Uncharted 4 Demo Was Hand Painted

'This is just the tip of the iceberg.'

Sony started its PlayStation Experience keynote yesterday in great style, showing us a fifteen minute long gameplay demo of Naughty Dog’s upcoming Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. The game is pre-alpha and over a year away from release, but it already looked great. Although it is certainly not as graphically impressive for its time as, say, Uncharted 2 and its debut was, there’s no doubt that it’s a gorgeous looking game.

Naughty Dog answered some questions about the game on Twitter, and it turns out that every single texture in the level they showcased was hand painted. Considering that the textures look really good, that is certainly very impressive.

And that is not all, either. If you are already hyped by what was shown (or if you found yourself underwhelmed), Naughty Dog is promising that this is ‘just the tip of the iceberg.’

Alright, guys. May Uncharted 4 be more of Uncharted 2 or The Last of Us, and less of Uncharted 3.
