Evolution Studios may not have had the best run of the year with their realistic racing sim DriveClub being delayed from its November 2013 date and eventually releasing in October 2014 with a number of issues but it’s since bounced back. DriveClub is in a much better state now and aside from the lack of a PS Plus Edition, it’s well worth picking up for the PS4.
So what now for Evolution Studios? Senior producer Roger Godfrey recently tweeted that, “We are looking for programmers to work on super secret awesome stuff.” Which sounds normal – after all, wouldn’t Evolution be thinking about its next project?
On the job listings page the job description of a C++ Graphics Programmer – state that, “The successful candidate will have a mandate to push the visual and technical boundaries of Sony platforms, supported by direct access to the teams who developed the PlayStation 4 hardware and software.”
Furthermore, the studio is also looking for Junior C++ Game/Systems Programmer and Senior C++ Game/Systems Programmer who has proper understanding of ‘CPU and hardware architecture’ and finally a Build & Configuration Engineer who will take care of ‘continuous development, troubleshooting and documentation of build and test hardware, software and workflows.’
It’s likely that Evolution is working on another PS4 racing game but what if it’s something else entirely? We can only wait and find out but let us know what you think it could be in the comments.
