If by shake things up you mean not really change anything expect remove guns then sure Far Cry Primal is a huge departure.

I’m with you here but I see why they did this. Far cry 3 and 4 were very similar and one more of those would have probably would have most people board with the series. They needed to shake things up a bit and change the recipe so to speak. Kind of like Battlefield 3 an 4, pretty much the same game and it needed a change although BFH was probably not the change it needed. We’ll see if Primal makes the cut I’ll try it some time just not at launch like the other Far Cry’s.
