At this point it is safe to say it will not run greater that 30fps. But it will play at 30fps a lot more stable. In stead of 30 dropping to 23fps etc. Prolly hang around 30-28fps and dip down less overall through out various scenarios of the game. A ps4 pro is only $100 more then the base model. Even if all it ever does is make things run more stable. The extra $100 is worth it.

I will play it on a PS4 Pro and well, at least I guess it’ll help with over 30fps which is itself an improvement… or are framerates of games capped? 60fps or even 45 fps would make a difference even without a 4k screen imo

Just the simple fact that the cpu has been overclocked and the gpu has been refreshed will basically assist with better frame rates or at least more stable. It certainly should not play worse, only better.

I think he’s referring to the game. They worded version as if there’s a FFXV Pro Version, which there is not. “it’s obvious that some players will expect a substantial graphical boost to the Pro version of the game”

I kinda expected it. It’s going to have the same kinda improvements most PS4 Pro games are going to have 4k and HDR but not improved effects or framerate.

Exactly, its obvious it’s going to have 4k or some kind of resolution boost most likely via checkerboard and HDR but it sounds like we will get extra’s later on basically. Tabata is a kind of perfectionist. He wants to go back and really spend time making a PS4 pro version better. I seriously doubt that Square Enix is going to do this and waste anymore time on the PS4 pro when they cannot charge for it which they can do for the PC version.
