Square Enix tends to put out demos for the vast majority of its titles before launch, big and small, and what’s probably the biggest game at this moment in the company’s pipeline isn’t going to buck the trend. We’ve known for a while that a demo for Final Fantasy 16 will release shortly before its release, and more details on it are also now emerging.
As reported by Push Square, Final Fantasy 16’s demo will be roughly couple of hours long, and will cover part of the sections that press recently got to go hands-on with. It will be focused on the earlier days of protagonist Clive’s story, portraying him as a younger man at the outset of his long journey.
Square Enix confirmed in November last year that it intended to release demo for Final Fantasy 16 prior to its release, while earlier this year, it was confirmed that the demo will arrive roughly couple of weeks before the game’s launch, and will also allow players to carry over their progress into the full game.
Final Fantasy 16 is set to launch on June 22 for PS5. Interestingly enough, the game won’t receive day one patch, which is something of a rarity for most AAA titles in today’s day and age.
