Final Fantasy 7 Remake Butterfinger DLC Promotion Begins March 3rd

Swear to God, not making this up.

There’s a lot of factors to show that a game or franchise has made it to the big time. Strong sales, seemingly endless anticipation and those working on it gushing about the project (okay, the last one maybe not so much). But one big way? I’m talking about cross promotion with candy and soda, baby. Nothing says you’ve hit that jackpot more than having your game on some candy bars, and Final Fantasy 7 Remake has made it.

As revealed via the official Butterfinger Twitter, a new promotion will begin with the much anticipated RPG. You can buy candy bars in the Butterfinger family to get points that will net you points. You can use those to redeem DLC for the upcoming title. You can see a full list below. The rewards seem to be cosmetic, outside the dynamic theme, and are said to be limited though it’s unclear what that means.

It’s not clear if the DLC will also be available to the general public at some point or if they’ll be exclusive to the promotion. Either way, you can get Butterfinger, Crunch Bars or Baby Ruth bars for the items. Consume at a proper pace, though, don’t want to get cavities.
