We’re close now to the much anticipated remake of Final Fantasy 7. The game will be the first part in an as of now undetermined series of titles that will serve as remake to the legendary RPG. It also happened to come at a time when the world was in the midst of a global pandemic. There’s been some concerns about the game shipping on time, and it seems some regions have even taken to shipping out the copies early. But as far as the digital release is concerned, the date hasn’t changed, but it does seem the pre-load has.
People have noticed that the pre-load date has changed on the PS4 up five days to April 3rd and not the previous pre-load date which was April 7th. Nothing official has been said about this on Square Enix’s behalf, but it seems to be done across the board. The game is pretty massive in size, with over 100 GB required, and with PSN download speeds being slowed due to increased activity, it seems Square Enix has quietly moved this up for additional time.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake will release April 10th for PlayStation 4.
