Final Fantasy VII Remake Gets More Story And Combat Info

There are some features the team won't talk about yet.

Ever since the Final Fantasy VII remake was announced, there has been quite a bit of excitement about just what the title is going to include. There hasn’t been a ton of information made available other than to say that there will be some tweaks to what we saw in that original game. It appears that when the weekly Famitsu issue is going to be bringing some new information to the table and the Japanese blog Hachima Kikou has the details.

Among the information the blog was able to tell us that the multi-part release means the company has managed to bring more details to characters like Biggs, Wedge and Jesse. Speaking of the multipart release, the company has said how many parts they want to do the game in, but they aren’t ready to let that information go public yet. We already know the developers have been working to get a perfect balance between action and strategy. We now know that you’re going to be able to get that perfect balance while you are also exploring more areas of Midgar than were allowed in the first version.

When it comes to combat, the ATB Gauge (final name pending) and the limit break system are different. It can’t be shown yet, but it’ll change depending to the player’s fighting style. There is still some information that the team isn’t willing to divulge yet, such as what kind of online features the title is going to have. Finally, the use of Unreal Engine 4 means the team has enlisted the help of the group working on Kingdom Hearts 3. There’s no release date yet for Final Fantasy VII’s remake.
