Campo Santo’s Firewatch is doing extremely well – the developer revealed on Twitter that the first person adventure title has sold beyond their expectations and that the future is bright.
“Firewatch has out-sold our wildest expectations. Campo Santo is going to be around for a while and we can’t wait to make whatever is next.”
Steam Spy estimates that Firewatch sold 190,000 copies on Steam since launch and when you factor in sales for the PS4 version, that’s not a bad start for the relatively new and small developer established by some of the minds of The Walking Dead, Mark of the Ninja and more.
Firewatch has otherwise received a good amount of critical praise since launching with reviewers crediting the game’s story-telling, visual quality and overall pacing despite some issues with the ending.
