Microsoft and Turn 10’s upcoming racing simulator, Fora Motorsport 5, the latest in the genre leading series of racing sim games, will reintroduce Silverstone, a track that has been a mainstay of the series since the first Forza Motorsport game back on Xbox 2005, but this time, it will also have the new configuration of the track introduced in 2010.
Forza Motorsport 5 will have the new configuration, as well as the track benefitting from the new approach Turn 10 has towards designing game tracks.
“We’re not laser scanning tracks,” said Greenawalt. “We’ve been doing for a while, but the thing is laser scanners weren’t up to scratch – we were able to recreate tracks more accurately by bringing levels and GPS and scanning.”
In addition to that, Forza Motorsport will also have deeper integration with British BBC automotive show Top Gear. That includes a digital Stig creating time trial records for you to beat.
