Front Mission 2: Remake Launches on June 12th for Nintendo Switch

The remake features updated visuals, improved loading times, a free camera to zoom in during combat, and much more for $35.

Forever Entertainment has confirmed that Front Mission 2: Remake will release on June 12th for Nintendo Switch. Developed by Storm Trident, it’s based on G-Craft’s Front Mission Second for the PlayStation One, which launched in 1997 and has only been available in Japan. Check out the trailer below.

Set 12 years after the second Huffman conflict, the sequel features three playable characters, each with a unique perspective on an ongoing conflict. It’s one of the more critically acclaimed titles in the series, and the remake offers updated visuals and quality-of-life improvements. These include improved loading speeds, a “renewed” soundtrack and support for “many” new languages.

New coloring and camouflage options, and a free camera for zooming in during gameplay, are also added. Front Mission 2: Remake retails for $35 on the Nintendo eShop – stay tuned for more details in the coming months. In the meantime, you can check out our review of the first game’s remake here.
