In reply to xino. @xino God of war 3 was pretty close to winning the best boss fights. Agreed they were spectacular and mind blowing. But Bayonetta was a class apart. The game featured a higher number of boss fights. If you have played the game and were lucky enough to beat it as well, than you should know how epic the boss fight is between Bayonetta and Jeane.

Tell me why BFBC2 was not a great game 🙂 I totally agree with you on RDR. The last two hours were pretty boring but everything before that was spectacular.
Again this is what me and my staff at GamingBolt think about the the game of the year winners. And no it was not a case of one employee’s preference. Our staff of 10 people voted for these games and thats the best we can come up with. However I do understand that many readers have their personal choices as well and that is what comment section are for, eh?

Holy shit… I wasn’t expecting this many games. What were you guys, indecisive and decided to make sure every game you slightly preferred made the list this year?
I’m glad you neglected Black Ops, that game becomes lackluster after a couple of weeks of play, and really looses replay value–unlike Modern Warfare, which is usual for Treyarch.
All I have to add is that there are way too many repeats, and BC2 wasn’t that great overall, nor was Vanquish.
I also don’t understand this sudden appreciation for Red Dead Redemption; I thought the ending sucked and it was too cliche, but I guess we can’t all have our cake till Portal 2 next year.
The games this year weren’t actually that great, I mean, Mass Effect 2 is okay, same with GoW, but really, none met expectations. ME2 is… what I expected, and GoW3 didn’t feel like it met up to what I wanted.
