Gfk-Tracker has released its software charts for the previous week for UK, and as expected, God of War is continuing its reign atop the software charts. The second place was taken, not by Far Cry 5 as you might expect- that one was pushed down to #3- but rather, by Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, which debuted in second place on the charts, an uncharacteristically strong showing for the title.
The top ten continues to see a lot of Nintendo games showing legs- while Breath of the Wild is out (again), Super Mario Odyssey and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe are legging it out. Apart from those two, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Fallout 4, FIFA 18, and Star Wars Battlefront 2 are all fixtures at this point as well. The Labo Variety Kit, on the other hand, doesn’t seem to be faring as well, and seems to have fallen to 13th place already.
The next few weeks should prove to be quiet in the UK in the absence of many new releases, so we can probably expect God of War and Far Cry to continue their reign atop the charts. Once Detroit and Dark Souls launch, it will be interesting to see how things stand.
