Gran Turismo 7 is certainly a thing and in development for the PS4 but it’s a ways off from release. However, development is progressing as indicated by recent listings from Polyphony Digital seeking engineers for graphics, sound, vehicle simulation and physics and AI.
It’s interesting to note some of the requirements. For instance, when looking at the listing for AI engineers, Polyphony is looking to develop a more human-like AI that recognizes ever changing conditions and tracks. Other positions include online engineers, game engine development engineers, game script engineers and much more. The key emphasis of Polyphony seems to be on realism as, with regards to sound engineers, it wants Gran Turismo 7 to “simulate the real world” and “audio is no exception”.
Gran Turismo 7 doesn’t currently have a release date but we know it will be out on PS4. What are your thoughts on the game and what features do you hope to see in it? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more information on the racing sim in the future.
