Gran Turismo 7 Trailer Features Series Creator Discussing Automotive Culture

Kazunori Yamauchi talks about the beauty of cars, collecting and customizing them, and how the game's theme reflects these aspects.

It’s no secret that Polyphony Digital’s Gran Turismo 7 looks drop-dead gorgeous. However, much of the series’ popularity can be attributed to its craftsmanship, especially when delivering the most realistic racing sim. A new behind-the-scenes video sees series creator and producer Kazunori Yamauchi discussing automotive culture and how it ties into the title’s theme of “Life With Cars.”

Gran Turismo 7 marks a return to the series’ roots with a new GT Campaign mode complete with the GT World Map. There’s also the car collection aspect where players will take up different races to earn a wide array of cars. The Livery Editor and Scapes from Gran Turismo Sport also make a return, with the former offering an improved UI while the latter features more than 2500 locations and ray-tracing support.

Gran Turismo 7 releases on March 4th 2022 for PS4 and PS5. For more details, check out our feature here. You can also check out additional gameplay here.
