Polyphony Digital and Sony are set to release another new update for Gran Turismo 7, keeping up the impressive cadence with which they have continued to support the racing sim since its release a couple of years ago. And as tends to be the case more often than not, the newest update, patch 1.49, brings plenty of new content to the game.
For starters, Gran Turismo 7 now features an additional, six new cars. Namely, these are the BMW M3 ‘97, the Ferrari 430 Scuderia ‘07, the Genesis X Gran Racer Vision Gran Turismo Concept, the Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 ‘08, the RUF RGT 4.2 ‘16, and the Subaru Impreza Rally Car ‘98. Beyond that, the update also brings to the game a new GT circuit- though it’s one that fans of the series will likely be familiar with. Returning to Gran Turismo 7 is the Eiger Nordwand track.
But that’s not all. Update 1.49 also adds an update physical simulation model that “mainly affects the suspension physics model and tire physical calculation model resulting in much more natural weight shifting during cornering”, according to Polyphony Digital. There is also a new GT Cafe Menu to check out for anyone at Collector Level 50 or above, improvements to Sophy, and more. Check out the trailer below for more details.
Gran Turismo 7 is available on PS5 and PC.
