Grand Theft Auto V’s remastered release for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 is almost here (the PC release will follow shortly after, in January), and if you’ve been considering getting the game digitally on either platform, you’ve obviously been curious about the file size. While we’ve known just how big the game will be on the PlayStation 4- it will be 44.9 GB on that system- we’ve only just now learned how big it will be on Xbox One.
On Xbox One, it will be little smaller than the PS4 version, but still a hefty 42.44 GB of data. This is an enormous step up from the Xbox 360 version of the game, which was, in any case, a miracle of compression technology as Rockstar did their best to get the game to fit and work on the DVD format.
Grand Theft Auto V launches on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on November 18. Stay tuned for more coverage.
