GTA 5 for PC Petitions Gains Steam

Sales of 215,000 for the PC version assured?

Grand Theft Auto V, the highly anticipated next entry in Rockstar’s world changing flagship franchise, is due later this year for Xbox 360 and PS3. PC and Wii U versions have often been floated, but all Rockstar will say about them is that they are up for consideration.

Predictably, gamers have taken to the internet, petitioning Rockstar to release the game on both platforms. And the PC version petition, at least, seems to be doing pretty darned good for itself, with 215,000 signatures on the petition so far.

Of course, Rockstar has not yet responded officially to the petition, but there is no reason to suspect that GTA V won’t eventually release on PC, especially given that every single game in the franchise so far has been on the PC, and that every single game under the Rockstar banner since 2008 except for Red Dead Redemption has been on PC. It’s just a matter of time.

Grand Theft Auto V launches on PS3 and Xbox 360 this September.
