We’ll see what happens. But to put some perspective on Rockstar’s development schedule – the vast majority (if not all) of Rockstar are currently working on Red Dead Redemption 2 right now. Although there probably are small teams working on future projects that will follow the release of RDR2. The somewhat strong rumor is that a sequel to Bully will follow RDR2 – which if true, will push GTA 6 further into the future (like the 2020s). Additionally, I see RDR2, not GTA 6, as the title that Rockstar puts out for next-gen consoles in the manner that they did with GTA 5…..that of course is assuming big success with the PS4 and Xbox One versions of RDR2 (which is almost inevitable). The Red Dead online mode is what will drive that decision. By the time GTA 6 can realistically come out, next gen consoles from Microsoft and Sony will already be well established in hardware unit sales….thus a PS4/Xbox One release won’t be necessary for the title then.

Yeah but you have to remember that Rockstar will try to sell the next GTA to current gen aswell as they did with GTA 5. So that everyone buys the game for current gen and then for the next gen all over again and for the PC later. So the answer is it will be released just before the next gen consoles come out say half a year or a year before their release..

2019? Zero percent chance realistically speaking. GTA 6 will be built for the next generation consoles (meaning the PS5 and the successor to the Xbox One X).
