Gundam Evolution Gameplay Videos Showcase Zaku II in All of its Glory

Bandai Namco shares the moveset of the mecha MS-06 Zaku II from Mobile Suit Gundam, as it join the roster of the upcoming first-person team shooter's roster.

Bandai Namco’s upcoming free-to-play first-person shooter Gundam Evolution is slowly getting more information regarding the gameplay and its playable mechas. This time, one of the classic Gundam from the series gets its gameplay showcased.

Shared via the game’s official Twitter in a series of tweets, several videos were posted, which showcased the upcoming Gundam, the MS-06 Zaku II from the classic Mobile Suit Gundam series.

The videos show the mecha in all its glory, along with its iconic ZMP-120mm machine gun, which has some brilliant auto-fire capabilities that ensure that the enemies are consistently damaged. Apart from the guns, the MIP-B6 grenade is also shown in action, which deals area damage, along with a smoke dispenser, which lets a player retreat under its covers.

The final video covers the G-Maneuver of Zaku II, called Heat Hawk Rush, which lets the player dash to the opponent, dealing damage and applying a stun, all the while being an agile mecha that can close up on enemies using boost steps.

MS-06 Zaku II is confirmed to be joining the roster besides previously announced mechas RX-78-2 Gundam, RX-80PR Pale Rider, MSN-04 Sazabi, MSA-005 Methuss, RGM -79SP GM Sniper II, NRX-044 Asshimar, ZGMF-XX09T Dom Trooper, WD-M01 ∀ Gundam, RX-75 Guntank, RGM-79 GM, and ASW-G-08 Gundam Barbatos. These videos come not long after Bandai Namco shared the gameplay of Gundam Barbatos from Mobile Suit Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans.

Gundam Evolution is a free-to-play first-person shooter for PC that allows players to choose a mecha from the series and battle it out in 6 vs 6 battles. The game is currently slated to launch in 2022.
