DON’T NOD, known for narrative adventure games like Life is Strange and Tell Me Why has announced its next game – Harmony: The Fall of Reverie. It’s out in June 2023 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch. It’s about Polly, who returns to her hometown in search of her mother as the megacorporation MK exerts its influence on the people.
However, using clairvoyance, Polly can access Reverie and get in touch with Humanity’s Aspirations, namely Glory, Bliss, Power, Chaos, Bond and Truth. As Harmony, she must decide which Aspiration should rule Reverie and restore balance. It’s a visual novel of sorts, and each choice affects Earth and Reverie.
Using Augural, Polly can see the future and learn more about each possible choice. Bonding with and obtaining crystals from the Aspirations can unlock new paths that alter the story. The Aspirations have different personalities and goals, and it’s up to you to decide which one should rule.
In addition to a gorgeous visual style, Harmony: The Fall of Reverie features a soundtrack by Lena Raine of Celeste, Sackboy: A Big Adventure and Earthblade fame. Stay tuned for more details en route to its release.
