Unlike a number of Ninja Theory’s previous releases, its upcoming hack and slash title Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice will be a digital-only title. That being said, the developer is planning a physical Collector’s Edition. Will that have a disc?
Well, according to the dev on Twitter, no. “We’re looking to make a physical collectors edition. No disc, but nice physical goodies.”
Which sounds good but if you’re paying that much for a physical Collector’s Edition, isn’t a disc pretty much a given? Then again, if it’s priced keeping in mind the lack of a physical disc, then it shouldn’t be a problem. Plus we don’t expect the sacrifice of noble Senua to necessarily take up tons of GB so bandwidth concerns should be for naught.
Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is expected to release sometime in 2016 for PS4 and PC. The game has morphed considerably over the years to a more psychological kind of hack and slash title as Senua struggles against the manifestations of her own mind. Stay tuned for more updates as E3 2016 rolls around.
