Here Are Some Things You’ll Only Find In the PS4 and Xbox One Versions of FIFA 15

PC is very obviously too last gen to get any of these.

Although sports games aren’t showpieces for new hardware most of the times, they still do benefit from the added oomph- extra processing power can afford them the capacity to have better player models and better physics, for example.

As an example, consider FIFA 15, the latest in EA’s bestselling series of football games. Due out later this year on every single platform except for Wii U, FIFA 15’s Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions will apparently use the added power of the next generation to have some features that none of the other SKUs will have. These include emotional intelligence, better physics and animation, better graphics, better control over the player, and better off the ball tactics. All of this should at the very least subtly enhance the gameplay experience.

FIFA 15 looks like another incremental step up in the usually innovative FIFA franchise, which nonetheless has seen the pace of its innovation slow down in recent years. After last year’s middling FIFA 14, hopefully FIFA 15 manages a return to form.
