HTC Vive, the virtual reality headset created in conjunction between HTC and Valve Corporation, will be releasing on April 5th in the UK for £689. It was already announced to retail for $800 in the United States.
The VR headset will release with three games for a limited time. These include Google’s Tilt Brush, which lets you paint in a three-dimensional space with stars, fire and much more; Job Simulator: The 2050 Archives, a humorous title where robots have occupied all the real human jobs and you now have to learn what it’s like to get a job; and The Fantastic Contraption which involves players building a machine on a floating island somewhere in the sky.
The Consumer Edition in the United States was billed to come with two wireless controllers and “base stations”, a link box and earbuds in addition to the headset and games. It’s likely the UK release features the same amount of stuff but with the extra game.
