Insomniac Games Has “Cool Stuff Planned” For Spider-Man PS4

Developer asks for fans' patience with regards to recent lack of information.

Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man for the PlayStation 4 has been an active point of interest since its announcement at E3 2016. The gameplay demo at E3 2017 further whetted our desire to know more. However, with the recent dearth of information, it seems unlikely that the open world action adventure title will even release before the first half of 2018 is up.

That doesn’t mean more information isn’t coming though. Insomniac Games art director Jacinda Chew responded to a fan’s tweet about at least receiving a picture of “Peter Parker’s nose” to tide people over until E3 2018. Chew responded that the team can do better than that.

“I assure you we can do better than that. We have some cool stuff planned, but we like to make sure everything is just right before moving forward. I appreciate everyone’s patience.”

Whether this “cool stuff” will be revealed before this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo hasn’t been confirmed. Then again, it wouldn’t be too far-fetched to have a short gameplay teaser beforehand that hypes up a major announcement at Sony’s presser. What better way to set the stage for an eventual reveal of the release date?
