Just when you think you’ve figured out everything that Nintendo has to offer with Kirby and the Forgotten Land, a new trailer comes along. Along with swallowing enemies and copying their abilities, Kirby can also control inanimate machines with Mouthful Mode. Check it out below.
Mouthful Mode sees the pink puffball able to wrap himself around devices like cars and vending machines. Car Mouth essentially turns Kirby into a car for running over hapless enemies and boosting. Vending Mouth lets him shoot cans from his mouth. He can even “possess” traffic cones, scissor lifts, rings, light bulbs and much more for various purposes.
But wait there’s more as Arch Mouth allows for soaring through the skies with a glider and Water-Balloon Mouth sees Kirby ingesting tons of water to spray at enemies. The trailer also offers a closer look at Waddle-Dee Town which can be upgraded with new structures over time (including a weapons shop for upgrading abilities, like Chakram into Chakram Cutter).
Kirby and the Forgotten Land is out on March 25th for Nintendo Switch.
