League of Legends – Daily Concurrent Player Counts at 8 Million

New details on the future coming at the MOBA's 10th anniversary celebration.

Riot Games’ League of Legends has had its ups and downs over the years but still remains perhaps the most popular PC game available. The developer announced that daily concurrent player counts are currently at 8 million. The MOBA is celebrating its 10th anniversary next month.

That’s not bad, especially considering how games like Fortnite have seemingly swept the globe (though League’s esports efforts have definitely gone over better). The developer will offer more information on its future and the next content update for Teamfight Tactics, its auto chess spin-off, on October 15th in an upcoming stream. The stream will take place at 6 PM PST.

What about the rumoured mobile port of the game that’s apparently in development? Publisher Tencent has had success with Honor of Kings on mobile so it might have kept those plans on the back-burner. Maybe new details will be offered on Riot’s upcoming fighting game as well. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
