There have been a lot of high profile departures from Epic Games and this one is the latest of them. Global marketing lead Kendall Boyd has left the company, according to a report on GamesIndustry.
Previously if you remember Cliff Bleszinski and Rod Fergusson both left the company, and president Mike Capps retired. This could be related to Tencent holding a lot of shares in the company, and the Chinese company’s influence is something that they probably don’t want.
Rod Fergussion had joined Irrational Games to help them in finishing BioShock Infinite and did a damn good job too with the game being a critical success.
Boyd had previously worked at THQ and EA Sports and joined Epic Games in 2010. He has now joined Microsoft, and is now the director of Halo global marketing.
