It was an avarage game, didn't liked it. Couldn't even finish the game and trade it in. Nice review but wasn't my taste of game.

Ah, I have, indeed, heard of X-Men Legends and the second installment, and while I haven't played it, it has seemed very similar to M:UA and if you say that it's that similar, than I'll believe you.

And yeah, sequels tend to be very similar to previous installments, but there honestly aren't that much new but still similar ideas that you could bill as a 'sequel', that's why sequels, continuations in a series (usually) have familiar gameplay.

Yes, the previous installments I speak of are X-Men Legends and X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse, which were both on the original Xbox and Playstation 2, and the original Marvel Ultimate Alliance. All four games were published by Activision, and although the first two games focus solely on the X-Men, everything from those original two games was carried over into the Ultimate Alliance franchise - the control schemes, the fighting system, the map designs, the RPG elements, and so on. In all honesty, each new installment is the same game with a new story, new characters, and prettier graphics.

I am kind of curious - why do you say "previous installments" (as in, in plural form) multiple times throughout the review? Is there more than one previous installment that I just don't know of?
