Despite a relatively lighter year of triple-A exclusives for the PS5, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 still stood out, selling a whopping five million units in October (and 6.1 million as of November 12th, per leaked documents). It’s the fastest-selling first-party IP from PlayStation, and there’s more content reportedly in the works.
However, Insomniac Games is also working on free updates, like New Game Plus. The feature was slated to launch in early 2024 (after facing a delay due to more testing required), but there have been no updates. On Twitter, the developer confirmed it’s “still working on it” and is “delighted to share more news as soon as we can.”
Other new features in the works include Audio Descriptions, Mission Replay, and changing the colors of Symbiote tendrils and the time of the day. Stay tuned for updates in the meantime.
