During its recent panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Insomniac revealed a new story trailer for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. It featured Harry Osborne, out and about, with the goal of “healing the world.” Unfortunately, the Symbiote seems to have other plans. Check it out below.
Along with hearing actor Tony Todd as Venom for the first time, who capably smashes an aircraft to bits, there are some new enemies, like an axe-wielding hunter in Kraven’s group. Mary Jane Watson is asked to investigate Kraven, while she and Miles express worry over Peter’s change in attitude.
One particular shot sees Peter’s Symbiote suit shooting tendrils in multiple directions to damage several enemies. One scene sees him trying to restrain Dr Curt Connors in his Lizard form. There’s also a scene where Miles drops in a gathering of hunters with swords, shields and more.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 launches on October 20th for PS5, featuring Peter and Miles as playable characters. Head here for details on Insomniac’s choice of Todd for the role of Venom.
