At their PS5 Showcase, Sony debuted extensive gameplay footage for Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, while new narrative details were also revealed. The game begins one year after the events of the PS4 title, and sees Miles’ mom rallying for a political position.
Things go wrong at the rally, when two rival organizations become embroiled with each other in a conflict. Miles is there to save the day, of course, which is where we see the gameplay footage shown below. Much of the combat looks the same as the previous game, but plenty of new combat abilities specific to Miles’ version of Spidey are also shown off.
There’s plenty else going on, with a bridge collapsing as a result of the attack, which leads to what’s looking like a major set-piece moment. As you’d expect, Miles’ sticky webs save the day once again. The visuals, meanwhile, continue to look solid. There’s plenty of puddles in there, and they’re all ray-traced. Take a look below.
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales will launch with the PS5 this Holiday.
