Mass Effect lead gameplay designer leaves BioWare, joins Riot Games

Mass Effect’s lead gameplay designer, Christina Norman has left her position at BioWare and joined Riot Games. She bid BioWare a hearty farewell while talking to Gamasutra, and said she believes Mass Effect 3 will be the best game in the series.

“I am thankful for my experience working on the Mass Effect series at BioWare, and think that Mass Effect 3 is going to be the best game in the series,” she said.

When asked how excited she was to be working at Riot Games, she said, “I’m looking forward to working with Riot on innovative new approaches to game design and game development in the rapidly-changing video game market.”

Preston Watamaniuk, lead designer of the first two Mass Effect games, has replace Norman as the lead gameplay designer.
