Media Create sales- Software sales and hardware sales plummet, Vita hits an all time low

The Media Create sales charts for this week are out, and it seems like people in Japan haven’t been big on gaming at all this week, with the hardware and software sales, both taking a huge hit.

The 3DS was the highest selling system, selling 46,425 units. While the figure is good in its own right, when compared to last week’s 91,868 units, it’s merely average. What was most shocking was Vita’s huge plummet, falling from last week’s 10,583 units to an all time low in the system’s short life (so far) with 6,340 units sold.

On the software front, the highest selling game, Mario Party 9, managed to sell only a measly 37,353 units, a very low figure when compared to the 334,821 units it managed to sell last week.
