I think you need to brush up on your reading comprehension. Nowhere in this article did the author say that this “mini metal gear” is something we havent seen before in cutscenes or screenshots.

1. Read the headline. It clearly states that it is a NEW SCREENSHOT.

2. Opening sentence “once again to show off something new and interesting for fans of the series.” As far as I know, there has never been mini metal gears in the metal gear series that we can control.. thats NEW AND INTERESTING to any metal gear fan. Kojima is just showing it off ONCE AGAIN in a NEW SCREENSHOT.

3. Read the 2nd paragraph.

He was saying the mech is new. It is not. I had already stated that it is slightly different than the others meaning that you can probly customize it via R&D. Do i have to provie links to the videos? Here is a photo just so you get the idea:

It was revealed in the red band trailer at the end and again in the MGO trailer that is the most recent video. The only thing different is its armament, it doesnt have the smg(red band trailer) or the mini-gun(MGO trailer). So you can probably choose its weapons
