Microsoft creative director gets blasted for always-online Xbox 720 comments

Probably trolling.

A Microsoft employee has defended Microsoft’s decision to use always-online on their next gen Xbox. Of course, he didn’t explicitly confirm the console or reveal anything, but you probably know what he means, right?

Screengrabs were captured by the fine folks at Neogaf of his Twitter account–now set to private–and are now up in arms and completely destroying the guy for his comments.

Always-online is a very sensitive thing for consumers, as evident by this post on Reddit which has exploded and is now on top with almost 5000 upvotes.

You can check out the screengrabs on Neogaf, but man the comments are awful and what’s up with the analogies… sheesh. Will he be fired for these comments? Can’t really say because he was defending his company. He should probably get a raise.

This could be all a clever marketing move from Microsoft, so take this with a pinch of salt.
