The only thing the “promotion” is about is trying to get Lying Phil’s personality cult across the entire MS product family instead of just Xbox.

Unfortunately looking at how the Xbollox “hype” has already disappeared it looks like they should be focused on trying to keep that energy propping up the dead Xbox brand.

He sat there arguing with me for like a year or so, bringing rumors from Neogaf and illogical talking points from the gaming media. It was entertaining cause evrything he thought was negative towards the Xbox, was based on pure speculation and subjectivity.

Anyway, how are you enjoying the X? I just recently opened it since I camback from a business trip a few days ago, and it’s an amazing console. Even games running on my old 1080p TV look simply amazing due to the supersampling feature. But when paired with a 4K TV and HDR, it simply delivers the best graphics I’ve seen in a cosole.

It’s something very simple to understand, but it’s beyond your capabilities of thinking logically…..:)

First You don’t get promoted to the ’round table’ if your division is not profitable or it’s “dead” and will soon be dismissed. And, the fact the MS’s CEO keeps talking about the Xbox as an important business for Microsoft shows their commitment to keep the brand strong.

So, while we don’t have concrete sale numbers yet on The X , reports from Gamestop and early sales on Amazon, Walmart and the other retailers are simply positive news not only for fans who want to see the brand to succeed, but also for gamers in general…..:)

What has Phil’s promotion done to change the Xboxs future? I still dont see the console flying off store shelves. I still haven’t read about seen any sales numbers being disclosed.
