Minecraft: PS4 Edition Back at Sony for Final Certification, Xbox One Version Nearing Completion

PS Vita users will need to continue waiting though.

4J Studios, which handles the console ports for Mojang’s popular Minecraft series, ran into a snag recently with the PS4 Edition. This was chiefly due to some remaining bugs, which prompted the developer to tweak it some more.

Thankfully, the process didn’t take very long and 4J Studios updated the status of the game on Twitter. “#MinecraftPS4 is back with Sony for final testing. Fingers crossed…”

It also revealed that it was, “Down to the last few bugs with #MinecraftXbox1 – hoping to hand it over to Microsoft by the end of the week!” So it’s highly likely that both versions come out roughly around the same time.

Those waiting for the Vita version might have to continue doing so though. “We have a bit more work to do on #MinecraftPSVita before we can hand it over to Sony. We’ll let you know when we hand it over.”
