Capcom’s Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate for the 3DS will be playable at this year’s Tokyo Game Show in September. The improved version of Monster Hunter 4 will be releasing in Japan this October so it makes sense to give attendees a taste of the gameplay beforehand.
Monster Hunter 4, which released late last year for the 3DS, was a multi-million selling title with more than 4 million units in sales. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate is aiming to evolve the formula of the franchise with more vertical scaling, allowing players to climb up different obstacles and providing a tactical advantage on monsters in the process.
The Ultimate Edition has no release date set for North America and Europe aside from “early 2015”. As such, the original game was never released outside of Japan so at least Western gamers will have something next year. What are your thoughts on Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate?
